Ilker Çatak


Berliner, Ilker Çatak studied film and television directing in Berlin and Hamburg. His graduation film “SADAKAT” received many international awards before winning the Student Academy Award in Gold in 2015. Later on in 2016, he continues to produce great film with a feature film debut of his award-winning youth novel “Es war einmal Indianerland” (English title: Once upon a time Indianerland). In 2019, “Es gilt das gesporchene Wort” (English title: I was, I am, I will be), Ilker’s second feature film, was awarded the prize for best screenplay at the Munich Film Festival.
