
Born in Pistoia in 1965, Francesca Tarantini is associate professor in medicine and geriatrics for the University of Florence and is part of the medical staff of the Azienda Ospedaliera Careggi. She has been collaborating with Medici Senza Frontiere since 2014 and has three missions under her belt: one in the war-torn People’s Republic of Luhansk (Hungary), another in the Idomeni transit camp during a strong migration wave and, last but not least, in Kenya in the framework of a project focused on curing chronic diseases in low income regions of the country.
